Wisconsin Metal Parts is New Name of Company Formerly Known as Die Concepts

WAUKESHA, Wis.—Its development into an all-around provider of metal parts engineering, manufacturing, and assembly services has prompted the company formerly known as Die Concepts, Inc., to change its name to Wisconsin Metal Parts, Inc., effective January 1st of this year. The contract manufacturer, which began in 1988 as a company that designed dies, made the change to more accurately reflect its diverse capabilities for engineering, prototyping, and production of metal parts and assemblies. Today, the ISO 9001:2008 certified company offers services that include prototype and production metal stamping; sheet metal fabricating; precision CNC machining; wire EDM; and jig grinding services, as well as engineering and tool and die making.

In a statement to customers announcing the name change, Wisconsin Metal Parts President Dan Erschen said that the company will retain its current ownership, management team, and staff, emphasizing that “the only thing that is changing is our name.” Looking toward the future, Erschen vowed that the company will “continue to provide the same high-quality services and produce the same high-quality products” as it has in the past, and will focus on minimizing risk and adding value to customers’ projects through a culture of continuous improvement.

“Our goal is to help our customers spend their limited financial resources wisely,” Erschen wrote. “If it makes sense for our customers to bring the work in house and produce the parts internally, we will tool the project up and help them do that. If it makes sense for our customers to purchase the parts from a specialist who can produce them competitively, quickly, and accurately; we will produce parts for them. If it makes sense for our customers to produce assemblies of various parts combined; we will produce the parts and assemblies for them. In many cases, it makes sense for our customers to have the entire project tooled up and robust, proven processes developed and then moved [in house]. We also specialize in doing that for our customers.”

Wisconsin Metal Parts (www.wisconsinmetalparts.com) applies its expertise in building stamping dies to reportedly manufacture inexpensive precision tooling that’s used to make metal stamped parts with consistently high quality. The company also designs and builds custom inspection gages and fixtures.
