Integra-Cast Earns Approved Supplier Status from Boeing for Investment Castings  

 
 


Approved to Produce Investment Castings under D1-4426 Rating for Special Processes

NEW BRITAIN, Conn.—Integra-Cast Inc. (ICI) recently announced that its quality system has earned Boeing’s demanding D1-4426 rating. The Boeing Company’s D1-4426 system assures that special processes, raw material production, and selected parts procurement standards are performed in accordance with contractually established engineering specifications, drawings, and quality requirements, including AS9100. 

In addition to the D1-4426 rating, ICI has earned several other quality system approvals from major Tier 1 and Tier 2 aerospace suppliers. Complementing its casting operation certification, ICI has also earned quality approvals for testing, heating treating, and machining. “This is a big step in the growth of our company,” states ICI President, David Arcesi. “For the past several years, ICI has focused on scaling our casting and machining operations, and 2009 has been the year to solidify that operational progress with the quality recognition the aerospace and defense market demands.” 

Integra-Cast, Inc., (www.integracast.com) headquartered in New Britain, Connecticut, is a vertically integrated company that combines investment casting, machining, and assembly for the aerospace and defense markets.  ICI is an AS9100 facility that also has NADCAP approvals for heat treating and non-destructive testing (NDT).
